Nigeria’s Ogundele Rashidat will have her hands full as she takes on Piccolin Giorgia of Italy today in the women’s qualification group fixtures of the ongoing Seamaster ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open 2017, which enters day two at the Molade Okoya Thomas Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

In other women’s event, Mookrey Simeen of South Africa will put Aregbesola Nimota of Nigeria to test as they clash for a place in the group stage, just as Abdel-Aziz Farah of Egypt and Nigeria’s Bisola Asiaju will attempt to outscore each other, while Russia’s Ermakova Irina will aim to down Jimoh Rofiat of Nigeria for the group stage ticket

In some of the men’s qualification group fixtures, Helmy Mahmoud of Egypt will take on Nigeria’s Martin Abayomi, Falana Tobi will square up against Akanbi Rilwan, while Obayomi Michael of Nigeria will exchange strokes with compatriot, Akomolafe Sunday.

In some of the games decided yesterday, Helmy Mahmoud of Egypt defeated Nigeria’s Mati Taiwo 3-0, just as Animasahun Abayomi was victorious over Akomolafe Sundayby 3-2 in the men’s event.
In the women’s event, Ermakova Irina of Russia was so ruthless as she beat Patel Danish of South Africa by 4-0, Jimoh Rofiat of Nigeria was unfortunate as she lost to Mookrey Simeen of South Africa by 1-3, Mba Onyinyechi struggled to beat compatriot Oku Vivian by 3-2
