Several hundreds of men and women have stri*ped completely n*ked in broad daylight to take part in a n*de racing festival.

 

Hundreds of n*ked runners have stri*ped off for Denmark’s annual Roskilde festival N*ked Race.

 

The n*de sprint is a staple of the festival, which has been going since 1971 and has grown to be one of the largest in Europe.

 

Jaw-dropping snaps show dozens of revellers baring all as they run around the campsite west of Copenhagen.

 

 

Wearing nothing but running shoes, the festival-goers sped around the track in front of cheering crowds with their race numbers emblazoned on their torsos.

 

Many also decorated their bodies with luminous paint as they sought to pip the competition to the finish line.

 

The race has been taking place at the festival since 1999, according to Chilli Sauce.

 

Around 30 people are said to take part in the competition every year.

 

But with two free tickets to the following year’s festival on offer, this is no fun run.

 

One lucky man and woman claim the prize for their efforts every year, so competition is fierce.

 

Run by the Roskilde Festival Charity Society, the festival has been a non-profit event since 1972.

 

All proceeds are donated to charity, with the event believed to have raised more than £20million to date.

 

The first Roskilde Festival featured just 20 bands performing on one stage.

 

Nowadays, it is made up of seven stages covering nearly 200 acres of land.
