Watch: Flavour And Mr Eazi Come Together On DJ Xclusive's 'As E Dey Hot'
The best thing about record producers who release projects is that they (usually) have no trouble gathering all the best artistes together – just take a look at the star-studded tracklist for DJ Khaled's upcoming album, Grateful.
DJ Xclusive is one of such producers: he brought us a 2Face and Timaya banger with "Jam It" and an Ajebutter22 and Seyi Shay duet with "Party Tonight". And his newest single "As E Dey Hot" brings together two of the biggest names working today, Flavour and Mr Eazi.
The only problem is that big names don't always mean a great song (just ask Skales), and "As E Dey Hot" is as unoriginal and uninspired as it gets. While Mr Eazi has been hit or miss with his own singles lately, he has been pretty great on every track he's been featured on – well, until now.
The only person who seems to be trying to keep this song afloat is Flavour, who sounds great on the catchy, repetitive chorus and even manages to deliver a pretty memorable verse.
If this was the track Reekado Banks recently called out DJ Xclusive for booting him off, he really shouldn't be that upset – he didn't miss anything. But who knows, maybe the afropop superstar would have made this song worth the price of admission.
